Reliance Jio has started the pilot testing of their broadband service, Jio GigaFiber for the past few months. The service was now available in some of the cities in Delhi and Mumbai as Jio Home Service. Now, the company revealed the price of the service before the commercial launch. As per the latest reports, Jio Home connection is a part of Jio Gigafiber and will be available for Rs. 600 per month. The most important thing is that the company is not only offering broadband now. In the price, subscribers will get TV and Landline facility too.
Initially, the service was rolled out as a part of testing with an only broadband connection that offers a speed of 100mbps and 100GB data. As a part of the testing, users can enjoy all the benefits free of cost.
Jio Home added Landline and IPTV for its users
As an addition to the broadband connection, Jio added Landline and TV to its users. The two new services will be added free of cost in the coming three months to the existing GigaFiber users. Since the service is in testing, both service will remain free. As like Jio did in the telecom fields, the company will provide the services free of cost to its customers for the first year and after that, the monthly rate will be imposed.
Jio Home GigaFiber Price
Currently, the service is being tested in Delhi and Mumbai. User need to Rs. 4,500 as a security deposit and the price of router. All three services will be available free during the test period and one year after the commercial launch.
After that, the subscription charge of Rs. 600 per month will be applicable. The rate may vary depending on the service since Jio will add additional benefits to the current one, including CCTV recording and storing them in the cloud. Also, after the testing, Jio GigaFiber will offer broadband connection with a speed ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps. So the subscription will vary from Rs. 600 to Rs. 1000 depends on the plan and the services selected.
Additionally, Jio is also offering an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) which is a smart network terminal, which can connect up to 40 smart devices to it, so that the services can be enjoyed on the connected devices at the same speed. The price of the ONT is Rs. 1000/-.
Jio GigaFiber Services
Currently, broadband service with a speed of 100 Mbps is available to all its users. In the coming months, Landline and TV services will be added. As informed, the Landline will come with unlimited calling facility as like in Jio Mobile network. The TV service uses Internet protocol which is known as IPTV. The channels will be streamed through the internet to the TV or smart devices like Mobile, Laptop, Tablets, etc.
The Jio IPTV along with the GigaFiber will become a best DTH and Cable TV alternative. This can make the company, their Cable TV and DTH network over the Internet, which we can call as Jio DTH or Cable TV over the Internet.
The new addition to the Jio Network will bring the same situation to the Broadband, Landline, DTH and Cable industry too, that occurred in 2016 when they entered into the telecom sector.
